A website for Associated Lecturers (tutors). This site is the first I’ve produced to use the new OU branding. It’s only available to people with a staff logon. Incidentally, today is the day that the OU launches the newly branded website (not live yet at 15:30, but will be live by this evening). Whilst I […]

Still my one true inspiration in life. Gone but not forgotten. Greatly missed.

Last night’s listening to Deathbru session proved to be rather interesting. Having not listened to much of the material recorded back in 1999 in the last five years I was able to re-evaluate the songs with fresh ears. Amazingly, it wasn’t as much of a painful experience as I’d expected. The endless bounce-downs of 4-track […]

A drunken conversation over a tasty curry last Friday has spurred me onto thinking about recording some new material for my band. For the last five years Deathbru has been neatly folded away as I’ve been doing proper adult things like buying a house, preparing for marriage and dealing with life in general. Harry Deans, […]

When I was nine years old I recorded my own radio shows using an old tape recorder and a copy of Now That’s What I call Music 13. Never got a show broadcast on air, though we did write a few letters to various local radio stations. Ocean Sound in Southampton even wrote back with […]

Did I mention we went Karting on Sunday? Well here we all are, lined up in our boiler suits just before hitting the track. Note Shay (the tallest, wearing his helmet) standing at the back. His overalls didn’t fit and were undoubtedly painful around the crotch. Rogue Racing need to invest in some threads for […]

Celebrating 26 years of my shuffling around on planet earth this weekend, Deans adopting or ‘assuming’ the foetal position was a common occurance. We drank, we ate, we bowled and we Karted. Indeed it was a birthday that nearly managed to top my 18th for unashamed hedonism. Job done. Jog on.
